I’ve noticed something similar happening to older conservatives where they begin to see the political formula no longer making sense. They are skeptical enough to reject the dark matter being proposed by the regime but then they go and adopt their own.
They just can’t bring themselves to reevaluate their beliefs in the post-war liberal consensus. Instead they resort to ever more complex and schizo explanations of why things occur (e.g. GAE is so bad because it is actually influenced by former Nazis).
They seem to have an endless appetite for these explanations, and each one is like a Ptolemaic epicycle inserted to explain the behavior of a flawed system and keep their political model from falling apart. This is really common among Gen Xers who have become politically active after Covid.
Great analysis and I think spot on. Though I will say this whole analysis seems to be the same pagan cycle of regimes that Plato Aristotle and Polybius wrote about. I think it’s missing a critical piece, that being the tradition of the eternal law, the natural law, and divine law.
There are only two types of people: those who desire power and embrace it through aesthetic lies (here the post-war myth), and those who desire the "truth" and embrace the aesthetic lies given in its stead; the strong and the weak, the healthy and the ill. Yet it is so often the strong, forgetting that their lies are lies, who become the weak (here the now retarded race communist operators). Can the right present a more appealing story? I hope so, but the hour is late.
Thanks for your interesting essay. But, I have to say I disagree with your premise and conclusion.
I don't think the current elite exist because of Hitler or that they are going away.
Numero uno: the underlying culture, Modernism, existed long before Hitler. Hitler was more of a reaction, or a by-porduct, rather like Trump. Also, things like envy, pride, lust, etc., play their usual part.
Number 2, the foundation of modern liberalism is based on the belief in human rights. Meaning privilege without obligation. You merely have to be born in order to acquire various rights without honoring traditional cultural mores. This would explain the bizarre development in sexual identity and the mutilation of children. It also explains Kneeling Nancy and why liberals pick the worst possible people to worship. Besides poking the squares in the eye, they can scream about the sacred victim and demand entitlement and special treatment for all other victim groups. The mechanism is that their rights are being violated.
Therefore, until western people give up on the concept of rights, which they are in no way doing, the sacred victim–entitled parasite culture will remain; and no amount of wishful thinking or violence will remove it.
"the GAE, was born out of the fires of the Second World War."
Political dark matter is an interesting term. But do you all know that the Cold War happened? That in between 1945 and 2001, there are a lot of years with events in them? It does not seem that your school of thought is aware that the year after 1945 was 1946, but thinks it was 2001 instead. It's a very strange timeline.
Its the modern day equivalent of those complex geocentric models that were created because the earth HAD to be at the center of the universe and so the math was forced into shape.
I was under the impression we detect it by the effects it’s having on the universe (expansion among them, tho that’s now being questioned), measurable by force and the things it’s not, but can’t see it or…

Solid metaphor; evocative and just imprecise enough to stick in the mind. This will get some traction.
Thank you!

If it looks like shit and smells like shit it almost always is. You can only polish a turd for so long.
Dark matter is not a phantom force, it’s real. We just can’t explain/define it…yet.

Aristotle…
Physically speaking dark matter is something we can't detect in any way but assume to be there, because otherwise our equations would not work.

Regardless, I take your point
